TEACHING EXPERIENCE

After teaching elementary art for 25 years, I'm on to my second career of making it easier and more fun for other teachers to teach art!

MY TEACHING STYLE

Make teaching drawing more fun! Get low-prep high-engagement art lessons that encourage even your most reluctant drawer.

Inside my lessons, you'll find:

• Games to engage your students and encourage reluctant drawers to get started drawing.

• Choices to inspire your students to stretch their imaginations and work more independently.

• Clear steps to educate your students, help them succeed, and learn to draw.

Expressive Monkey can help you teach art skills, boost your students' confidence, and encourage them to express themselves.

Because burnout and overwhelm are not part of your job description, I aim to help you have more fun teaching and spend less time prepping.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2006.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I received my BFA from the Columbus College of Art and Design and my MA in Art Education from The Ohio State University.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I started my Expressive Monkey website in 2011 as a way to share my drawing lessons with my students and other teachers. To see more lessons and information about how I teach online visit my Expressive Monkey Blog and Expressive Monkey Website!
